CONFERENCE RULES AND GENERAL INFORMATION for the 47th Annual Meeting of the National Association of Business, Economics and Technology

The 47th Annual Meeting will be on October 17th and 18th, 2024.
Submission Deadline: September 30, 2024
NABET is politically non-partisan. Please do not submit papers that focus on political, religious, gender, or other societal and cultural issues. Such papers will be deemed inappropriate for the NABET Conference.
NABET Conference Rules:
- The author of an accepted submission agrees to present his/her paper at the NABET Conference. Acceptance of each Abstract will be based on the subject and content that is written in the Abstract.
- Each author may submit up to two Abstracts representing two separate papers (presentations). Authors will not be permitted to submit or present more than two papers.
- Each paper must be presented by the lead author or coauthor(s) who are acknowledged on the paper. Surrogates will not be permitted to present papers, only the author(s) will be allowed to present their paper.
- If none of the authors attends the conference, the paper will not be presented. Acknowledgement of the paper and the authors will be removed from the Official Conference Program.
- Any and all papers that are presented at the Conference will have the right to be published in the peer-reviewed Conference Proceedings. An author shall have the right to decline publication in the Proceedings.
- Any and all accepted Abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings, unless the author(s) fail to present the paper at the Conference, or if the author(s) expressly decline publication of the Abstract in the Proceedings.
- Undergraduate students may not attend the NABET Conference. Undergraduate students may not be authors of any paper which is submitted to the NABET Conference.
- Even if an undergraduate student is acknowledged as a coauthor of a paper (where a faculty is the lead author), he/she may not attend the NABET Conference. In this case, the paper must be presented by the faculty who is the lead author.
- A graduate student may attend the NABET Conference and present his/her paper, as long as the Abstract has had a successful peer-review and has been accepted by the NABET Conference Team.
- If an author has registered and paid the conference fee, and does not present his/her paper, he/she will be deemed a no-show and acknowledgement of that paper will not appear in the Official Conference Program. In such a case, the conference fee will be forfeit; a refund will not be issued.
- Submissions to the NABET Conference will be accepted and scheduled for presentation based on space and scheduling availability as determined by the Conference Director.
COPYRIGHT NOTICE – NABET CONFERENCE and PROCEEDINGS
- Authors retain the copyright associated with their work that is presented at the NABET conference and published in the Conference Proceedings.
- Authors shall have the right to present their work at the NABET Conference even if that same work has been or will be presented in other venues.
- Authors shall have their abstracts/papers published in the Conference Proceedings (in accordance with Proceedings guidelines), as long as that work has been presented at the NABET Annual Meeting (Conference), it has not previously been published in another publication, and unless the author expresses that he/she declines publication in the Proceedings.
For the protection of our Conference presenters NABET subscribes to the general precepts of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License.
Time Allotment/Equipment in Each Conference Room At the NABET Conference:
- Each presentation will have a time allotment of 20 minutes.
- The Best Paper Award winner will have an allotment of 45 minutes.
** All of the time allotments noted include time for Q&A. Session Chairs will have the task of keeping each presenter on schedule.
In each presentation room the following equipment will be provided for the presenters: Laptop, LCD Projector and Screen.
- There will be four presentation rooms.
- The presentation rooms are not equipped for audio or remote video.
- Presentations from a remote location via the internet or any other means are not permitted at NABET. All presentations must be live and in-person by the author(s) in the presentation room at the NABET Conference.
- Presenters are not permitted to bring their own equipment.
- Presenters are encouraged to have their graphics, power points, etc. on a flash drive.
- Handout materials that are related to a presentation are permitted, but not required.

The 43rd Annual Meeting will be on October 22nd and 23rd, 2020 and will be in virtual format via ZOOM
The National Association of Business, Economics and Technology invites papers for presentation at its Annual Meeting – an Online Conference. The meeting provides an opportunity to present new research and discuss a variety of current issues in business, economics and IT. Faculty Submissions can be based on either complete or incomplete scholarly work.

- All accepted Abstracts will be published in the Official Conference Program which is published separately and as part of the Conference Proceedings, unless the author(s) fail to present the paper at the Conference, or if the author(s) expressly decline publication of the Abstract in the Official Program.
- Undergraduate students may not be lead authors of any paper which is submitted to the NABET Conference.
- If an undergraduate student is acknowledged as a coauthor of a paper, he/she may not present the paper. In this case, the paper must be presented by the faculty who is the lead author.
- A graduate student may present his/her paper, as long as the Abstract has had a successful peer-review and has been accepted by the NABET Conference Team.
- All authors of accepted Abstracts must complete the registration process and pay the conference fee (via the NABET website) in order to attend the conference and present his/her work. Even though an Abstract may have been accepted for presentation, if an author has not completed registration nor paid the conference fee on or before September 30th, that paper and acknowledgement of the author(s) will not appear in the Conference Program. If such an author pays the conference fee after September 30th, but before the Submission Deadline (October 10, 2020), he/she will be scheduled to present the paper at a session on Friday afternoon (October 23rd)– at the discretion of the Conference Team. As long as the paper is presented at the 43rd NABET Conference, acknowledgement of that presentation will appear in the Official Conference Program – to be published at the NABET website by December 15, 2020.
- If an author has registered and paid the conference fee, and does not present his/her paper, he/she will be deemed a no-show and acknowledgement of that paper will not appear in the Official Conference Program. In such a case, the conference fee will be forfeit; a refund will not be issued.
- For the 43rd Annual Meeting, an Online Conference, there can be no workshops or discussion panels. Only traditional style presentations of the author(s)’ topic can be permitted.
Time Allotment/Equipment in Each Conference Room at the 43rd NABET Conference:
- Each presentation will have a time allotment of 20 minutes.
- The Best Paper Award winner will have an allotment of 30 minutes.

The 40th Annual Meeting is October 26th and 27th, 2017 at the Days Inn Penn State in State College, PA.
The Northeastern Association of Business, Economics and Technology invites papers for presentation at its Annual Meeting. The meeting provides an opportunity to present new research and discuss a variety of current issues in business, economics and IT. This is your chance to get involved with a dynamic, regional academic organization. Faculty Submissions can be based on either complete or incomplete scholarly work, workshops or discussion panels.
NABET is politically non-partisan. Please do not submit papers that focus on political, religious, gender, or other societal and cultural issues. Such papers will be deemed inappropriate for the NABET Conference.
NABET Conference Rules:
- The author of an “Accepted†submission (Acceptance by the reviewers is based on subject and content of the Abstract) agrees to present his/her paper at the NABET Conference.
- Each author may submit up to two Abstracts representing two separate papers (presentations). Authors will not be permitted to present more than two papers.
- Each paper must be presented by the lead author or coauthor(s) who are acknowledged on the paper. Surrogates will not be permitted to present papers, only the author(s) will be allowed to present their paper.
- If none of the authors attends the conference, the paper will not be presented, and acknowledgement of the paper and the authors will be removed from the Official Conference Program.
- Any and all papers that are presented at the Conference will have the right to be published in the peer-reviewed Conference Proceedings. An author shall have the right to decline publication in the Proceedings.
- Any and all accepted Abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings, unless the author(s) fail to present the paper at the Conference, or if the author(s) expressly decline publication of the Abstract in the Proceedings.
- Undergraduate students may not attend the NABET Conference. Undergraduate students may not be lead authors of any paper which is submitted to the NABET Conference.
- Even if an undergraduate student is acknowledged as a coauthor of a paper (where a faculty is the lead author), he/she may not attend the NABET Conference. In this case, the paper must be presented by the faculty who is the lead author.
- A graduate student may attend the NABET Conference and present his/her paper, as long as the Abstract has had a successful peer-review and has been accepted by the NABET Conference Team.
10. All authors of accepted Abstracts must complete the registration process and pay the conference fee (via the NABET website) in order to attend the conference and present his/her work. Even though an Abstract may have been accepted for presentation, if an author has not completed registration nor paid the conference fee on or before October 10, 2017, that paper and acknowledgement of the author(s) will not appear in the Conference Program. If such an author pays the conference fee after October 10th, but before October 27th, he/she will be scheduled to present the paper at a session on Friday afternoon, October 27th. Acknowledgement of that presentation will appear in the Official Conference Program (to be published in November, 2017).
11.  If an author has registered and paid the conference fee, and does not present his/her paper, he/she will be deemed a “no-show†and acknowledgement of that paper will not appear in the Official Conference Program. In such a case, the conference fee will be forfeit; a refund will not be issued.
Time Allotment/Equipment in Each Conference Room At the NABET Conference:
- Each presentation will have a time allotment of 20 minutes.
- Workshops and Discussion Panels will have a time allotment of 30 minutes.
- The Best Paper Award winner will have an allotment of 45 minutes.
** All of the time allotments noted include time for Q&A. Session Chairs will have the task of keeping each presenter on schedule.
In each presentation room the following equipment will be provided for the presenters: Laptop, LCD Projector, Screen and Overhead Projector.
- There will be four presentation rooms.
- The presentation rooms are not equipped for audio or remote video.
- Presentations from a remote location via the internet or any other means are not permitted at NABET. All presentations must be live and in-person by the author(s) in the presentation room at the NABET Conference.
- Presenters are not permitted to bring their own equipment.
