Abstract

Being given an iPad and finding ways to use it in education can be a daunting directive with no direction and no starting point.  The iPad is not a computer, but a window into the cloud and all of the material that it contains, but there are several types of apps that can help us to produce and distribute ourselves and our content to our students and beyond.  These apps and the mobility of an iPad make it useful in distributed education.  This discussion focuses on my experiences in using the iPad in education with specific focus on its use to create and distribute content.  I will discuss apps for organization, resource access, class response and communication, and content creation and presentation.
