Managing Expectations in the New Post-pandemic Environment

Abstract
Abstract:
Higher education has been forced to take a hard look at how course work is delivered and managed during the 2020 Covid crisis. Traditional facilitation of course material has not only required flexibility and creativity during the pandemic but has mandated altering operation and communication of expectations for both faculty and students. The new environment does not negate the requirement to meet course learning outcomes in the classroom so this paper will explore challenges that arose during the temporary transition to the fully virtual modality and will discuss how to set and execute expectations from both the instructor and student perspectives.
