Abstract

As an organization completes its business processes, it engages outside organizations for some of the tasks so that it may focus on its core competencies. The relationship with another may range from an outsourcing contract, supply chain relationship, or only an incidental, one-time, arrangement. The collaboration effort often requires sharing data that may inadvertently disclose information that is of a sensitive nature to its owner. The safe sharing of information resources is a priority because it is necessary for an organization’s economic development and survival. This paper presents the dangers of sharing data with outside organization that should be considered in the development of an organization’s business process management policies
