Abstract

Teaching Management to traditional undergraduate students is difficult because so few of these students have any idea what it’s like to work in complex organizations.  That is, they have no context for understanding how management theory connects to the world.  Identifying relevant backdrops for delivering this connection to students is tricky.  Television is one possible medium in this vein, but some programs are more useful than others.  My investigation explores the programs that provide the richest contexts for making connections between Management theory and the world.   In addition, shows that might appear to be laden with “ore” turn out to be little m-ore than fool’s gold.
