Abstract


Many non-profit organizations have a growing need for internal and reliable assessments of their organization. This research project is a case study involving an internal assessment of a profit organization for the disabled.  It uses a set of assessment questions to measure the present motivational aspects, capacity, performance, leadership practices for all department heads. Strategic leadership is also examined based on strategic leadership environment and the leadership action cycle model is used for organizational assessment. In addition, the contingency model is examined to measure situational favorability of the organization. The goal of the assessment is to identify the areas of weaknesses, strengths, threats, and opportunities for the organization so that the improvement can be made.  The conclusions and recommendations of the case study are submitted to the organization.
