Abstract

The dean of our university business school approached a faculty member in October 2010 to create an entrepreneurship minor housed in the business school. Being a minor, this entrepreneurship initiative would be open to all majors. After some intense spearheading of the effort, it was approved as a minor in March 2011 and the first cohort was selected in April 2011 for start-up in the fall 2011 semester. This paper will identify and discuss a variety of initiatives intended to develop a strong entrepreneurship program and ecosystem without reinventing the wheel.
