Abstract

Traditionally, faculty has taken on the role of teacher, researcher, and mentor.  But due to technology and changing times, the role of faculty continues to evolve and new roles are being added.  One of the new roles is teaching crisis management due to the ever threatening tragedies that strike our country.  And it becomes an even more important role when a crisis hits the campus.  A campus shooting at Duquesne University left students in need of support and assistance.  Faculty took on the role of counselor and helped students learn firsthand how to survive and thrive during and after a crisis.  Student projects helped students cope and learn the hard lesson of marketing during a crisis.
